The Russian military has launched cruise missiles against
Islamic State positions in Syria from both the Mediterranean and Caspian
seas, one of which killed over 600 terrorists in the Deir Ex-Zor
Province, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has said.
“On
November 20, the warships of the Caspian Fleet launched 18 cruise
missiles at seven targets in the provinces of Raqqa, Idlib and Aleppo.
All targets were hit successfully,” he reported to President Vladimir Putin.
Overall, there are 10 warships taking part in the operation, six of which are in the Mediterranean.
Islamic
State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) have been suffering huge losses as a
result of the Russian offensive, Shoigu said, adding that data on the
ground shows that the flow of terrorists arriving in Syria has
decreased, while more and more militants are fleeing the warzone to head
north and south-west.
Over the past four days, Russian air forces
have conducted 522 sorties, deploying more than 100 cruise missiles and
1,400 tons of bombs of various types, the minister stated.
He added that a strike on a target in Deir ez-Zor utilizing multiple cruise missiles had killed more than 600 militants.
Shoigu
stressed that the number of aircraft taking part in the operation has
been doubled, and now consists of 69 jets conducting 143 sorties on a
daily basis.
The minister pointed out that Russia is focused on
destroying the terrorists’ economic base, having targeted 15 oil storage
and refinery facilities as well as 525 oil trucks. “We stopped supplies of 60,000 tons of oil per day to the black market and terrorists are losing $1.5 million daily,” Shoigu said.
Russia
has also destroyed 23 jihadists training camps, 19 plants producing
explosives, 47 ammunition depots, as well as many other targets,
according to the minister.
In
addition, Russia’s air campaign has provided significant support for
Syrian government troops near Aleppo, Idlib, Latakia and Palmyra, he
noted.
He also added that the Russian military has begun cooperating with its French counterparts, as ordered by President Putin.
The Defense Ministry has published a video showing Russian servicemen at the Khmeimim airbase in Syria writing ‘For our people’ and ‘For Paris’ on bombs that were later dropped on the terrorists.

Close to a dozen members of a local advocacy group against what they consider to be the misapplication of federal and state law waited outside the Carroll County Detention Center to greet a woman released Tuesday morning who had been arrested after failing to identify herself after a routine traffic stop in June.
During her time at the detention center, the woman continued to refuse to identify herself, claiming it was her Fifth Amendment right.
Bob Kurland, a member of the Westminster-based Save-A-Patriot Fellowship — a group claiming it is intent on ensuring that law is accurately interpreted and appropriately enforced — questioned the court's refusal to release the woman, who became known as Jane Doe, sooner because of her choice to invoke the Constitution.
"Do you believe she is John Dillinger, public enemy No. 1?" said Kurland, who along with other members of the group refused to identify Doe. "How can you be held for exercising your Fifth Amendment rights?"
However, police, prosecutors and a law professor considered to be an expert on the Fifth Amendment contend that refusing to identify yourself to law enforcement isn't protected by the Constitution.
"If that were the case, no one would ever have to provide information, and we would have burglars and robbers and people running all over the place not knowing who they were," Carroll County State's Attorney Brian DeLeonardo said Tuesday.
Essentially, the Fifth Amendment "protects criminal defendants from having to testify if they might incriminate themselves through the testimony," according to the Legal Information Institute at Cornell University.
Doe, who continues to refuse to identify herself even after being released from jail, was arrested June 27 after she failed to stop for a Carroll County Sheriff's Office deputy for a tail light that was out.
Doe, who spoke with the Times on Tuesday afternoon after her release but continued to refuse identifying herself, said she saw lights close behind her but "didn't know what it was," so she proceeded at a steady pace. When the trooper made contact with her at a traffic light, she refused to identify herself and had to be forceably removed from her vehicle, according to court documents. She was charged with failure to obey a lawful command, resisting arrest and obstructing an investigation, according to electronic court documents.
Because of her continued refusal to identify herself, neither the Sheriff's Office nor the State's Attorney's Office believed it was prudent to immediately release her, according to Sheriff Jim DeWees.
As if we had any doubts, the judge has basically told the government lawyers that he is ready to rule the program is UnConstitutional but they have been dragging it out for two years. Now he says he is done playing footsie with them and told them to get moving with some procedural motions that will allow him to rule on it before the program expires anyway in November.
A federal judge in the nation’s capital made clear Wednesday he would
like to order the Obama administration to end its dragnet collection of
U.S. call records as soon as possible.
U.S. District Judge
Richard Leon, in fact, outlined for anti-surveillance attorney Larry
Klayman how to hasten the process. When the attorney quibbled about
specifics during a status hearing, Leon repeated himself emphatically,
saying he believes the constitutional rights of millions of citizens are
being violated.
“I’m prepared to lift the stay I issued,” Leon said, referring to the
hold he placed on a preliminary injunction against the collection he
issued to Klayman in December 2013. “It’s time to move, let’s get
going.”
The judge outlined two specific things Klayman can do to make him able to rule more quickly.

First, Leon said, Klayman can file a motion requesting that the appeals
court panel, which on Friday said Klayman cannot prove Verizon Wireless
records were affected, expedite the return of jurisdiction over the
matter to District Court.
Klayman said he will file such a motion on Thursday. The delay in return
of jurisdiction is to allow time to appeal decisions to a higher court.
In the meantime, Leon said, his ability to act is constrained.
Separately, Leon said, Klayman can ask his permission to amend the case
to add a plaintiff who is a customer of Verizon Business Network
Services, which was named in a leaked document the government
acknowledges is valid. Government attorneys refuse to acknowledge in
court that any other provider is affected by the phone dragnet.
Klayman plans to do that, too, but he hasn’t announced the identity of the person or entity he will seek to add to the case.

Amending the complaint would allow Leon to sidestep a legal brawl over
discovery into whether Verizon Wireless is affected by the dragnet, as
both he and Klayman suspect. Sidestepping that matter could allow Leon
to order the cessation of collection before the program expires in late
November pursuant to reforms in the USA Freedom Act.
“The window is very small in the view of law,” he said. “You need to be
thinking about the fastest, most expeditious” way to move the case, he
told Klayman. “I didn’t think it would take so long to get back here.”
With a knowing look, the judge cut off Klayman when he was about to
share his explanation for why it took nearly two years for the appeals
panel to rule. Klayman told U.S. News last week
he believes the appeals panel was “kissing the behinds – the derrieres –
of the people in the Washington, D.C., establishment who got them their
jobs."

(CNN)A massacre on a high-speed train in France was prevented Friday when two U.S. Marines in civilian clothing surprised an Islamist militant, a senior European counterterrorism official told CNN.
The suspect was loading his automatic Kalashnikov rifle in a toilet when the two Marines confronted him, the source said.
The gunman fired on the Marines with a handgun, the official said, wounding at least one of them. Three people were injured aboard the Thalys train traveling from Amsterdam to Paris, authorities said.
The Marines overpowered the suspect, who was placed under arrest when the train was rerouted to the town of Arras, about 115 miles (185 kilometers) north of Paris. One of the Marines was wounded, the Pentagon said.
The gunman, a Moroccan national, was on the radar screen of European counterterrorism agencies for his radical jihadist views, the official said.
A second security source told CNN the gunman was known by French intelligence. The official said it appeared the gunman was sympathetic to ISIS, but a full determination on his specific loyalties had yet to be reached.
The man had plenty of ammunition, the first official said, and the Marines prevented a massacre.
The attack has not officially been classified as an act of terrorism, although the senior European counterterrorism official indicated it was suspected.
Firearms manufacturer Taurus has agreed to a voluntary recall of nearly 1 million pistols as part of the settlement of a lawsuit that alleges nine handgun models had defects, including one that caused some to inadvertently fire when dropped.
"This is not an anti-firearms lawsuit. This is a defective product lawsuit," said Birmingham attorney Todd Wheeles, co-lead counsel representing plaintiffs in the 2013 federal lawsuit. "This hopefully will help save lives by taking defective firearms off the street."
The settlement affects customers who bought the following models sold between 1997 and 2013 in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam: PT-111 Millennium; PT-132 Millennium; PT-138-Millennium; PT-140 Millennium; PT-145 Millennium; PT-745 Millennium; PT-609; PT-640; and PT-24/7.
Despite the voluntary recall, Taurus denied in a statement Friday night that there are any design defects in the models.
"Neither the settlement nor the allegations in the case include any of the popular Taurus G2 model pistols," according to the Taurus statement.
Details concerning the nine pistols and how and when to submit a claim will be provided in the near future, according to the Taurus statement. LOS ANGELES (AP) — The number of accidental shootings by Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies has more than doubled in two years as the department switches to a new handgun.
There were 12 accidental discharges of weapons in 2012 and 30 last year — most of which involved the new gun, the Los Angeles Times reported (http://lat.ms/1TkMK4O).
In October, a deputy tripped over a stroller and fired a bullet through the wall of a house in Huntington Park. Last November, a deputy in Lancaster shot himself in the thigh while pulling his gun. In December, a deputy in Compton accidentally pulled the trigger on his gun as he approached a suspected stolen car and a bullet hit the door. Nobody was in the car, however.
The inspector general of the Sheriff's Department is investigating the increase in accidental firings. But sheriff's officials attribute the increase to the learning curve for the new weapon, the Smith & Wesson M&P9.
The semi-automatic gun is made from a lightweight polymer, doesn't have a safety lever and requires less pressure to pull the trigger than the Beretta 92F, a heavier gun the department has used for two decades.
"The vast majority were people trained on the Beretta," Assistant Sheriff Todd Rogers said. "There is a correlation, no doubt about it."

CLAYTON, N.M. -- The Clayon Police Department has nearly concluded its investigation into the hit and run incident that occurred early Saturday morning, but are searching for the man they believe was driving the white pickup involved.

As a result of the investigation, Clayton officers were able to obtain an arrest warrant for 56-year-old Leland J. Cruz of Clayton. Cruz is currently being charged with attempted murder, leaving the scene of an accident with great bodily harm and reckless driving.

Every single day now I read about yet another incremental incursion on our liberties by the United States Government and it's legions of lackeys.
I'm sure you remember the Constitution Free Zone that was arbitrarily imposed around our borders several years ago now?
The excuse that was given for this law breaking bit of tyranny was that the Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable searches do not necessarily apply at our borders or Ports of Entry.
According to the government, however, these basic constitutional principles do not apply fully at our borders. For example, at border crossings (also called "ports of entry"), federal authorities do not need a warrant or even suspicion of wrongdoing to justify conducting what courts have called a "routine search," such as searching luggage or a vehicle.
Even in places far removed from the border, deep into the interior of the country, immigration officials enjoy broad—though not limitless—powers. Specifically, federal regulations give U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) authority to operate within 100 miles of any U.S. "external boundary."
In this 100-mile zone, Border Patrol agents have certain extra-Constitutional powers. For instance, Border Patrol can operate immigration checkpoints.
Border Patrol, nevertheless, cannot pull anyone over without "reasonable suspicion" of an immigration violation or crime (reasonable suspicion is more than just a "hunch"). Similarly, Border Patrol cannot search vehicles in the 100-mile zone without a warrant or "probable cause" (a reasonable belief, based on the circumstances, that an immigration violation or crime has likely occurred).
I emphasized that last paragraph because it is this part of the game they are playing that I am going to be talking about here.
In the same article I have quoted above, the very next paragraph points out that this is increasingly not the case.
In practice, Border Patrol agents routinely ignore or misunderstand the limits of their legal authority in the course of individual stops, resulting in violations of the constitutional rights of innocent people. These problems are compounded by inadequate training for Border Patrol agents, a lack of oversight by CBP and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the consistent failure of CBP to hold agents accountable for abuse. Thus, although the 100-mile border zone is not literally "Constitution free," the U.S. government frequently acts like it is.
Now I am going to inform you of a recent incident near our Northern border that should highlight the fact that these abuses routinely occur even though the government official is knowingly breaking the law and has been warned by someone who not only knows the law but has just gotten a Degree in Law Enforcement and has applied to the very agency that is abusing them. Instead of stopping when the individual expressly informs them of their wrongdoing, the Customs and Border Patrol agent goes all in and compounds the illegal search with violence, consequences be damned.
This young lady was not crossing the border for one thing, was illegally detained, assaulted and her car searched, all without probable cause or any warrants.
This is what our government wants us to think is the new normal,
Jessica Cooke, a 21-year-old from Ogdensburg, New York, recently graduated from SUNY Canton with a degree in law enforcement leadership and had already applied for a job as a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agent when she was surprised by an impromptu final lesson at a CBP checkpoint on Route 37 in Waddington last week. What she learned—that people who insist on their constitutional rights in this setting run the risk of being roughed up and shot with a stun gun—should help make her a better CBP agent, although CBP may not see it that way.
Cooke was driving from Norfolk to her boyfriend's house in Ogdensburg, the northern border of which is the St. Lawrence River. If you cross the river, you are in Canada, but Cooke was not crossing the river. She nevertheless became subject to the arbitrary orders of CBP agents by driving through one of the country's many internal immigration checkpoints,

After asserting her rights, proving to the CBP officers that she was informed and aware of what is and is not legal, they still ignored her and wound up not only assaulting her by hitting her with a Tazer, they searched her trunk anyway, without a warrant, even after the K-9 unit went around the car without incident!
This is only one example of systemic and government approved abuse of what should have been an average citizen on an average day by these people and I would be very interested in hearing what comes of this in the end when all is said and done.
They are never wrong and if you do not do as they say instantly then any head bashing you receive is your own damn fault for not groveling at the feet of your all powerful and all knowing tax money collecting government employee, whether they be city, county, state or federal matters not.
The reality of our situation is that we currently do and have been for many years now, live in a Police State where even the Supreme Laws of the Land do not apply anymore and you have no defense against any abuses imaginable, up to and including your murder, at the hands of some ignorant power tripping traffic cop, because hey, you looked nervous.

Pennsylvania Lawmaker Wants To Make It Illegal To Taunt A Police Officer
In Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, earlier this week, lawmakers, police officers and other supporters gathered at the state capitol to celebrate Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Amid praise for those who wear the badge, state Rep. Dom Costa (D), former chief of the Pittsburgh Police, suggested he would introduce legislation to protect police officers -- not from physical harm, but from getting their feelings hurt by citizens.
Following comments by state Sen. John Rafferty (R), who spoke about criminal targeting of police and encouraged attendees to support his resolution to recognize 2015 as the “Year of the Law Enforcement Officer,” Costa discussed another supposed threat to police.
"This nonsense that is going today on where police officers are being taunted by people and being provoked, let's face it we’re all human beings, and eventually that emotion will break. And that’s what they’re trying to do," he said, according to Raging Chicken Press, seemingly speaking about anyone who would verbally challenge police. "So, what I’ve talked to some of my colleagues and the senator [Senator Rafferty] is that we have a bill about taunting a police dog. It’s illegal. There should be out that you can’t taunt a police officer because you’re going to get those emotions up. [We] are looking at that bill to put it forward in the House, and I am sure the Senate will follow. Or at least support that bill."

Fair Warning: This site will be far more time-intensive than even a blog, in order to keep current. It will need to be updated several times each day, and of course as there is breaking news. That means we will need help. We will need the help of III Patriots who can send us relevant links to news stories that deserve to be read by your fellow Patriots. So as you go through your daily reading lists, please send us a link if you think a story is important to Liberty. And don' take it personally if your submissions don't always get linked. Not every story will make the editorial cut, and many stories will be featured on several outlets, and we'll only be linking one. Let's keep the conspiracy stuff limited - conspiracies exist, but not every event is the byproduct of a grand scheme.

Semantics aside, the Taliban is suspected in multiple attacks over just the last 48 hours that have killed more than 30 people, including a suicide bombing attack on a funeral in Afghanistan today that killed 16 and wounded 39.

These people are so full of shit and so detached from reality that when confronted with it, they automatically try to spin it to fit their agenda.
No matter how ridiculous they look doing it.
